“The North Brooklyn (@sid4p_nbk) contingent of the Shut It Down for Palestine coalition is excited to invite you to Roots of Resistance: A Fundraiser for MECA (Middle East Children’s Alliance) to protect the rights and improve the lives of children in Palestine and across the Middle East through aid, empowerment, and education. Please join us in honoring Palestinian steadfastness with a specific focus around Earth Day to learn more about how settler powers have used the destruction of the environment to further their genocidal violence and displacement, but also how we can organize together to strengthen roots of resistance for a more peaceful and sustainable world together.
Guests will receive soil, seeds, and planting pots that we’ll paint together, and be able to win a range of raffle prizes, with proceeds supporting MECA! Beer, wine, & non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase on-site.”
