@codepink.nyc: โJoin us on February 22nd for the next event in our monthly Pop-Up for Liberation series. This community event combines art, live music, culture, resource sharing, and political education for a unique community-building experience in neighborhoods around NYC. We aim to raise awareness about US/western imperialism, its impact on communities abroad and at home, and how we can build a local peace economy together. Our pop-up on February 22 will be at Ayat in Bay Ridge, a Palestinian restaurant and popular community space. We will have live performances by Leila Hegazy, The Brooklyn Nomads, and a talented up-and-coming musical collective organized by @kuli.1111. Building on our previous political education discussion, which involved an overview of US/western imperialism and some of its tools of destabilization and control, we will dive deeper into one of the USโs favorite tools, soft power. Stop by and enjoy some amazing live performances, buy some beautiful art, pick up some literature and community resources, participate in a thought-provoking political education discussion, and eat some delicious Palestinian food.โ
