No Nukes: Rally & March to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (in Front of the UN)

📍 8:30am vigil & music at the Isaiah Wall (First Ave. & 43rd Street)
📍 9am march to the U.S. Mission to the UN (First Ave. & 45th Street)

“U.S. groups will hold a rally and march on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 8:30AM across the United Nations to coincide with the Third Meeting of States Parties to the TPNW.
Please join us at 8:30AM at the Isaiah Wall (First Ave. & 43rd Street) for a vigil and music. Around 9AM, we will march to the U.S. Mission to the UN (First Ave. & 45th Street) and demand that they eliminate their nuclear arsenal.

“Featured speakers will include:
– survivors of the atomic bombings of Japan in 1945
– family member of a survivor of a nuclear test in the Pacific
– Indigenous activist from New Mexico (where their lands were contaminated by uranium activities, radioactive waste, and radioactive fallout from the first atomic bomb test)
– activist from Democratic Republic of the Congo (where the two thirds of uranium for the original Manhattan Project were mined at Shinkolobwe Mine)
– youth from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

“This is a family-friendly and inclusive event as we are not risking arrests. International groups are welcome to join us! Please save the date.
