[Long Island] Stand with Science on Earth Day

🗓️ Tuesday, April 22, 12 – 1pm
📍 211 Woodcleft Ave Freeport, NY 11520

Join us on Earth Day to stand up for science, renewable energy, clean and affordable water, and the preservation of our planet. In the face of federal cuts to vital science programs and the alarming termination of incentives for renewable energy sources like wind and solar, we find ourselves at a critical juncture. The cessation of initiatives aimed at eliminating lead pipes and harmful forever chemicals from our water supply only compounds this urgency. Coupled with a relentless “drill, baby, drill” mentality, it’s clear that the time for action is now! The south shore of Long Island now stands at the precarious frontline of the climate crisis. As the tides rise and the storms grow fiercer, the future of Long Island teeters on a delicate precipice, reminding us that this is not just a local concern but a pressing global issue that transcends political affiliations. President Trump and Zeldin, the Administrator of the EPA, must put aside the partisan circus and focus on the reality of our changing climate.”
