“We are facing a constitutional crisis, and we need Congressman LaLota to listen to his constituents’ concerns. Since taking office, LaLota has never held an in-person townhall and has trivialized his constituents’ needs and concerns – both in national media and with his lack of real results for the people of Congressional District NY-01. Join your friends and neighbors as we raise our voices and demand that Congressman LaLota show up in his district and hold an in-person townhall to hear directly from the people.
… Wholesale freezes on congressionally allocated funds across broad sectors of our government will impact jobs throughout Long Island and threaten every resident’s health, safety and security. CD1 constituents are particularly alarmed about the proposed massive cuts to the National Institutes of Health, cuts that will mean layoffs and substantial economic damage to Stony Brook University and Brookhaven Lab, both vital engines of economic activity in our district.
Join members of Assemble Long Island, East End Action Network, Long Island Advocates, Long Island Network for Change (LINC), LIPC, PEER, Show Up Long Island (SULI), Suffolk Progressives, and 50501 Movement for this urgent rally. We’ll meet by the street in front of 515 Hauppauge Road in Hauppauge to rally, hear from speakers, and demand that LaLota listen. Please bring signs!”
