“Come prepare for what could be the hottest summer on Earth with Planet Over Profit’s “May Skills Workshop on Extreme Heat” with a community energy specialist and our favorite action EMT. We will start with a discussion on how to read and lower your high summer energy bill, programs to help you pay your utility bill, and how buildings use/lose energy. Plus, all attendees will receive a free energy efficiency toolkit including a power strip with surge protection and energy-protecting foam outlet covers to use what they learn to lower their home bills. Part two of the event will be about learning the first-aid skills for this summer’s expected high temperatures and air pollution, building an individual vs collective health action plan, and our EMT’s graduate school work on environmental justice from a healthcare provider’s point of view. ✊ Attendees must RSVP using the action link and we can’t wait to see you there!”
