“EMERGENCY RALLY TO PROTECT CHINATOWN 🚨 this Thursday, May 15, 11:30am, 46 Bowery 🚨 Many will remember when mega-landlord Jonathan Chu evicted Jing Fong, the biggest dim sum hall in the East Coast and the beating heart of Chinatown’s community. For years, the space has sat empty while different restaurant groups have approached Chu to reopen a big dim sum hall there. Instead, Chu has struck a deal with @vitra a high-end furniture company who will use this former community hub as an elite showroom. We join our community in calling for an immediate boycott of Vitra who are profiting off the displacement of Chinatown! Shame on Vitra!”
